Western MA Acupuncturist Gives Hack on How to Navigate Tough Times

As a Five Element Acupuncturist in Amherst, Massachusetts, I often write posts from the heart to give a sense of what kind of work is done in the treatment room and beyond, and where my heart is at when it comes to this practice. Please read on for today’s installment of a heart-filled post.

Often times patients hit a wall where they are stuck in making a decision, whether it’s a seemingly small one or a massive one. And while we’ve all been there before, remaining paralyzed in fear with an inability to make a decision can put a hault on life and growth. Below is a tried-and-true hack that my patients (and myself) use to work through a tough situation.

When you’re up against it, the best step to take is to connect to your heart. Take a few breaths and sink into your heart to see what you’re truly feeling and truly seeking. If you move forward from this place, your words will be most pure and your intention will be integral.

It doesn’t matter what someone else says or does, they are on their own journey. All you can do is the best you can do, and operating from your most pure place is going to serve everyone the best in the long run for certain.

Does connecting to your heart ensure you’ll make the perfect decisions? At that point it’s relevant to think of the word perfect itself and whether any decisions could be right or wrong. The most important thing you can do is stay true to yourself, and when connected to the heart you’ll operate out of kindness and benevolence. And with that, the world will be a better place, period.

In the treatment room, when patients are struggling with decisions, we often work both on strengthening the heart qi (energy) and the small intestine qi. The heart rules by benevolence and the small intestine helps sort pure from impure.

If you would like some assistance with your heart and small intestine energy, from connecting to your highest good and making clean and clear decisions, message me to ask more. As a patient, I create a bespoke treatment plan to help you reach your goals and life a life that is full and meaningful.
